This policy explains what we collect when you visit fourdragons.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. Our candidate platform at jobs.fourdragons.com has its own policy, because it handles very different information.
The short version
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We use analytics and marketing tools that may count as “sharing” under California law. You can turn them off, and we honour browser opt-out signals automatically.
- Nothing optional runs until you agree to it.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you fill in a contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, any phone number you provide, and whatever you write to us. We use it to reply and to keep a record of the conversation.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page we, or the services listed in our cookie policy, may record your IP address, rough location derived from it, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you stay, and the site or link that sent you.
Cookies and tracking
We group these into three buckets. Only the first runs without your permission.
- Necessary — Cloudflare security and delivery, and your saved cookie choice. Keeps the site up and remembers what you picked.
- Analytics — Google Analytics and Cloudflare analytics. Shows us which pages are used so we can improve them.
- Marketing — HubSpot and visitor identification services. Recognises returning visitors and measures whether our content reaches the right people.
Our cookie policy lists every cookie individually and is kept up to date automatically. You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information for money. However, some of the analytics and marketing tools above may count as “selling” or “sharing” under the California Consumer Privacy Act, because data reaches those companies.
To opt out, use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer, or decline analytics and marketing in the cookie banner.
We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser sends it, we treat that as an opt-out automatically and you do not need to do anything else.
Who we share information with
- The service providers listed in our cookie policy, who process it on our behalf
- Our own professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers
- Anyone we are legally required to disclose it to
We do not pass your details to unrelated third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and correspondence: up to three years after our last contact
- Analytics data: as configured in Google Analytics, currently 14 months
- Cookie choice: until you clear it or change it
Your rights
If you are in California, you may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, ask us to correct it, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit how we use sensitive information. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are in the UK or EU, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, and you may object to processing based on our legitimate interests. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
If you are in Canada, you may ask for access to your personal information and ask us to correct it.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within the time your law allows, normally within 30 to 45 days. We may need to verify who you are before we act.
Why we are allowed to process it
- Consent — for analytics and marketing cookies
- Legitimate interests — for site security and for replying to enquiries
- Legal obligation — where we must keep records
International transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers are mostly US companies. If you contact us from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
Security
We use encryption in transit, multi-factor authentication on our business accounts, and limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Children
This site is meant for business use. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
